About the Production Team

 

Jean-Paul Chreky (Writer-Producer-Director)
Jean-Paul Chreky is producing and directing Before the Devil, as well as being one of the writers. He is also the president and a producer for Carbon Chemistry Productions. Jean-Paul has produced and directed several film projects and commercials. These include the award-winning films, The Shell and Triton. Some of his other producing credits include Twilight Angel, Broken Oath, The Fury’s Prey, Everything, Mon Amour, a Deja Blue Water Bottle Commerical, and a Canes Film Festival Commercial. He has also worked for Buena Vista Pictures, responsible for advertising, publicity, and promotions of their films. Jean-Paul has also instructed undergraduate 16mm Film Production classes at the University of Miami as well as filmmaking and acting classes at a private academy. He has worked in production as - director, assistant director, second assistant director, script supervisor, cinematographer, and assistant camera.

Alexander Peruyera (Writer-Producer-Director)
Alexander Peruyera is the driving force behind Before the Devil, and along with Jean-Paul is the producer-director. Apart from being one of the writers he has assembled the entire team of producers, production desingers, production managers, lawyers, accountants, and all of the staff. Alexander holds degrees in both Film and Anthropology and has written, produced and directed a number of film projects throughout the world including documentaries in Thailnd, Cambodia and England; fiction films in Greece, Spain and the United States. Prior to becoming a filmmaker over 6 years ago, Alexander produced and starred in the successful Beyond Illusion magic show as he was a professinal illusionist and magican for 10 years, performing a grand illusion show in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

Enrique Benavides (Line Producer)
Enrique Benavides holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Universidad de Lima (Lima Peru), a MBA from Florida International University and a MFA in Motion Pictures from University of Miami. Some of the most recent productions he has participated in include Wes Craven's Red Eye for Dreamworks, Michael Mann's Miami Vice for Universal Pictures, TV pilots for The Estefan Entertainment group, the reality TV shows Power Girls, Simple Life and The Player, industrial and awareness videos for institutions like the Red Cross and Marshall Fields, behind the scene's videos for Victoria's Secret and Pepsi, and various commercials for brands like Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Mike's Hard Lemonade, DHL and Sprint. Before entering the entertainment industry Enrique's work experience includes 12 years in Logistics and project development in Latin America managing the logistics for a wide range of multi-million dollar projects in energy, construction and telecommunications.

Celso Peruyera (Production Designer)
Celso received his BA from the University of Miami in Theatre Design and is a trained architect. He is currently a professor and Technical Director of Florida International University’s Theatre Department. Celso’s theatrical credits include working as a Technical Director, Production Designer, Scenic Painter, Lighting and Sound Designer on shows such as Dracula, Frogs, Cabaret, Noises Off, Proof, Hair, Rocky Horror Picture Show and many more. He has also worked on a number of major concert and corporate venues for HBO, Discovery Channel, Ultrafest, and the Winter Music Conference.

Jeff Goodwin (Makeup Department Head)
Goodwin has supervised make-up and special F/X make-up for Ride With The Devil, Blue Velvet, Last Of The Mohicans, Rambo III, Super Mario Brothers, and other major feature films. He won the British Academy Award for Best Make-up for Last Of The Mohicans and has worked on such films as Betsy’s Wedding, JFK, The Hand Maid’s Tale, and Sleeping With The Enemy. His television credits include American Gothic, Touched By An Angel, and The Road Home.
